After a succesful 2008 Broughtons Cruise and Learn we are now busily planning and preparing for the next trip in May 2009. Great opportunity to see the incredible Broughtons and to receive your boating certification at the same time. There will be watches with shifts split to allow everyone plenty of opportunity for training, running the yacht, enjoying the views and getting some sleep!
Training
We plan to offer International Sail and Power Association courses: Competent Crew, Day Skipper, Coastal Navigation, Coastal Skipper & Marine Radio License/DSC
We will be covering all aspects of these courses with plenty of practice in chart plotting, Radar, GPS and GPS Chart Plotting, some night steaming, and onboard emergencies. Regardless of which/any courses you take, this is a working cruise with everyone sharing equally in all operations of the boat, ship's husbandry, cooking, etc. So bring your favorite recipes, books, and games! Other activities include fishing, diving (for qualified divers only), and kayaking.
Cost
$5000.00 plus tax per person, including instructing, bunk, food and fuel.
